Singorama 2.0 Review – Is it worth your money?

I didn’t have a good first impression of this product at first, because I thought the name was silly. But after an in-depth and thorough examination of this course, I have to give it the credit it deserves.

The owner Melanie Alexander is a successful Australian pop singer from the 90’s band Girlfriend that has sold Platinum records back then when mp3 was not yet invented.

As a singer, Melanie has been there, done that, in the real world of professional singing. When choosing vocal coaches, the most important thing is to find out if the teacher can actually sing. If not, move on.

If so, the next question would be – Can Melanie teach? After taking a close look at this program, I will inform you the biggest strengths and weaknesses of this program, so you could make a decision for yourself.

Singorama 2.0 – The Awesome Training Platform

After purchasing the course, I immediately logged in to the training site to take a look at what’s actually in it.

First, I’m greeted with a welcome video by Melanie with a huge smile, which is pretty nice and refreshing to look at for a start.

However, what comes below is a bit of a turn-off. I’ve seen better web designs of other singing courses than this:

Singorama review

I quickly found out that this singing course is completely audio based. Every lesson and exercise is an audio mp3 file, which seems a bit weak on the surface.

But, as soon as I started listening to the 28 lessons in the Getting Started module, I was quickly impressed by the quality of teaching with each mp3 lesson and exercise.

The Highest-quality Audio Lessons and Trainings

In this visual-based internet age, Singorama 2.0 is bold enough to make this training program entirely based on high-quality mp3 lessons and trainings.

As I was listening to the lessons, I was intrigued by the vocal delivery of the teacher explaining the complex singing concepts in an easy-to-understand way.

The audio recording quality of the mp3 lessons are excellent – very soothing to the ears to listen to.

Too bad I can’t show you audibly here. You need to experienced it first-hand by downloading them on the site.

You could easily download every audio mp3 files and listen to it on your way to work, which is exactly what I did with my crappy earphone. It sounds great.

The Complete Package for Vocal Training

The lessons and training cover everything from warm-ups, breathing, extending the vocal range, strengthening the voice, to performing on stage and pursuing a singing career.

In addition to the extensive audio lessons and exercises, the program also provides you with original Singorama training ebooks for beginners and advanced singers further explaining all of the concepts taught in the program.

Don’t be fooled by the simple design of the Singorama training platform. The simplicity of it is the beauty of the entire training course. You will never lose your way or feel overwhelmed while training on the site.

If you want learn the right technique, you listen to the Getting Started lessons. If you want to start implementing, you go to the Vocal Exercise module. It’s as simple as that.

Bonus Modules and Software

In addition to the fundamental lessons and vocal practices, the program provides several very cool functions in the bonus modules that provides ebooks, tools, and softwares, such as the Mini Recording Studio that you could use to recording yourself as you sing, and playback to hear what you need to improve on.

Another great software that they provide for free is Perfect Your Pitch which you could use to practice your pitch accuracy.

Another cool feature is that Singorama provides original songs in separate tracks of the vocals, music, and full mix for the students to learn and practice.

Unbelievably Low Price for a Complete Vocal Training Program!

Singorama 2.0 is a very complete singing program with the most affordable price on the internet right now.

The price used to be $97, which is already very affordable. Now, I can’t believe they lowered it to $67.

They also have a 60-day money back guarantee. From a professional standpoint, the price is too low for the value it provides.

You should take advantage of it right now before they raise the price.

The Weaknesses of Singorama 2.0

In order for this review to be objective, balanced, and valid, I need to present to you the weaknesses of this program, and there are many.

First, my biggest complaints about this program is that the vocal exercises and training are all demonstrated by a female instructor for the students to practice along.

That’s great for female students. What about the male singers? They do have different ranges.

Second , in my opinion, the vocal exercises do not cover a big enough range in the singer’s voice. As a result, more advanced singers are not challenged enough vocally.

Third, the vocal exercises are not directly or clearly connected to the audio lessons. They are each in different modules – Getting Started and Bonus Vocal Exercises ( I don’t understand why the vocal exercises are in a bonus module.)

When you practice the vocal exercises, you don’t really know which lessons the exercises are for. You have to make the connections yourselves. That’s kind of weak!

Finally, the Pros and Cons!

Every training program has it strengths and weaknesses, and now I will give you a comparison for you to decide whether this program is for you or not!

Pros

  • Training platform is simple and easy-to-use.
  • Audio lessons and training are of highest-quality mp3 recordings. Easy to listen to.
  • Most comprehensive and extensive instructions.
  • Covers every important aspects of singing from basic training to performing on stage.
  • Very extensive bonus modules with softwares, tools, and ebooks.
  • Great for beginners and intermediate level singers.
  • Designed by a real professional singer Melanie Alexander.
  • Very, Very affordable price with 60-day money back guarantee.

Cons

  • Poor design for the training site.
  • Vocal exercises and training are geared more towards female students.
  • The connection between the Audio Lessons (Getting Started) and Vocal Exercises are weak.
  • Vocal exercises do not cover a big enough range to challenge the students.
  • Instructions could be too basic and easy for advanced students.

My Final Conclusion with Singorama 2.0

Singorama 2.0 is a very complete training program for singing that covers everything from essential vocal technique to stage performance and many others.

The vast amount of contents that it provides make it a very ideal training program for beginning intermediate singers.

The greatest strength could also be its biggest weakness. If you’re an advanced singer looking to further perfect your skills in a specialized area, this program is clearly not for you.

In conclusion, if you’re just starting out or have previous singing experience, this singing course is the ideal program for you. The instructions are given in a very clear and detailed manner. The audio mp3 files are of the highest audio quality. Very easy for you to listen to.

You will not feel intimidated or overwhelmed by the training program, but rather have a lot of fun learning how to sing. That’s the most important part – enjoying singing!

  1. Hi Rex,

Not sure how long ago you reviewed this service, but how is Singorama in explaining things in layman’s terms? The issue I have in how these types of music lessons are delivered is that the developer assumes that the students know technical music terms. My knowledge is rudimentary at best. Having taken some instrumental lessons as a child, I’m familiar with what a scale is, for example. However, most people starting out may not have that knowledge.

  2. Thank you so much Rex for your honest review. Based on your recommendation, and further reading other reviews, I have decided on 30 Day Singer.

I would have liked Singorama, but for the fact that a female voice is the lead coach (and I have a low Willie Nelson type voice), with 30 Day Singer, I can choose other(male) voice coaches.

    All the best.
